DIRECTIONAL DRILLER

JOB DUTIES

The Directional Driller perform directional drilling services. Plans, executes and manages all phases of a directional driller job to deliver services that meet client expectations and company standards. The DD also provides technical support to clients and other crew members at the website, he report directly to the VP operation. The DD Operator manage all directional drilling plans and procedures according to company plan and all drilling operations of rig site and ensure compliance to all drilling objectives. DD is responsible for drilling the off-vertical portion of the wellbore in accordance with the operator’s drilling program so that all target are reached. Directional drillers oversee the rig up and rig down of the steering portion of the bottom hole assembly and work within the drilling contractors and operator’s safety and operational policies. Provide assistance and training to all drilling trainees and supervise efficient working of all processes. Execute all survey information for processes and ensure all objectives compatibility with various results. Administer all directional operations and analyze performance of all drilling procedures and assist all client representatives to resolve all issues and monitor job progress and maintain records of all data and prepare required documentation. Maintain and ensure efficiency in maintenance of all company assets and locations and ensure adequacy of all supplies and equipment for the job site and prepare records for all equipment present on rig in coordination with client representatives. Ensure safety in work areas at all times according to required standards. Collaborate with various departments to manage work flows for all rig projects and ensure efficient working of same and prepare schedules for all test activities on drilling rig. Prepare rig maintenance strategies and perform regular inspection on all drilling requirements and assist to purchase all equipment to ensure appropriate maintenance. Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site. Document all incident/accident events on the job and at the office. Prepare end of well reports/ client’s final product delivery. Maintains good communication with the client’s well site representative, rig crew and field support staff. Follows up failures with the maintenance team and ensure failure reports are closed with clients.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Seven Year’s of Directional Drilling Experience. Preference Bilingual English-Spanish. Preference with a Engineering or Technical Degree. On call avalailability 24 hours. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task in a high pressure environment. With residence in Comodoro de Rivadavia-Argentina

SKILLS

Skills acquired through experience in the form of minimum 7 yesars driller/tool pusher or higher job exposure, or as directional survey or MWD/LWd engineer. Ability to read and interpert designed well plans, directional survey information and other well site data. Ability to demostrate technical aptitude of required standards. Must possess good communication, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills. Good knowledge of rig safety rules.
